This Trio has a very unique set up lead by front man Jeremy Buck, who is the bands lead singer, drummer, and also plays keyboards.  Along with guitarist Christopher Hanna, and bassist Joel Geist, who make up "The Bang", the group has toured both domestically and internationally playing upwards of 300 shows. Their sound has been described as, "Rock-a-Funk-a-Billy-Roll", combined with an energy not unlike a Three Ring Circus on stage. They have won over crowds of thousands while opening for such acts as, "Blues Traveler", "Cheap Trick", and "Lee Rocker" of the Stray Cats. Back in Los Angeles, the popular Trade Magazine, "Music Connection", has named them one of the "Hot 100 Unsigned Artists" in the country. In addition, the band has received two awards for, "Best Live Performance", in 2007, from both the South Bay Music Awards Association and L.A.'s Easy Reader, as well as nominations for, "Best Independent Album: Fools Gold", and, "Best Guitarist: Christopher Hanna".

Los Angeles-based septet, The Rebirth, offers its long anticipated release, This Journey In, to fans on Kajmere Sound/KSD Music in spring 2005. In this compelling new 11-track album recorded in the band’s hometown, The Rebirth matches its musical vitality with a gift for lucid poetry and songwriting, creating a rich sound built on an organic blend of new and traditional soul, hip-hop, jazz, and funk. These elements make the group’s music both highly progressive and a throwback to the classic soul bands: Earth, Wind & Fire, Ramp, Pleasure, Rotary Connection, Side Effect and Roy Ayers. At times mystical, always generous, The Rebirth’s strength is not only present in the chemistry provided by the instruments, but also in the group’s dynamic harmonic vocal layering. In this age of sampling and computers, the crafting of the great song and the great record is simply not as common. The Rebirth pays special attention to everything that makes a song find its own greatness. Melody, rhythm, lyrics, instrumentation, arrangement, performance and production are equally emphasized. Over the last few years, The Rebirth has celebrated the successes of several smashing singles: “This Journey In,” “Every Body Say Yeah,” “Got Your Madness,” and their critically acclaimed cover of The Might Ryders’ “Evil Vibrations” for Ubiquity Records’ compilation, Rewind! 4. Nominated for “Song of the Year” at Gilles Peterson’s Worldwide Awards and concluding in 2004 at #6 on his playlist, “Evil Vibrations,” continues to gain accolades for the group as one of the US’ most promising neo-soul collectives.

Young and the damned Young and the damned are a band from London, in the UK. They played English indie pop reminiscent of The Smiths and The Killers (ironically from Las Vegas). However, the band are no one-trick ponies, employing Latin influences as well as reggaeton rhythms in order to create a fundamentally unique and engaging style of their own. You can download their songs for free at: www.myspace.com/youngandthedamned They can be seen at the El Rey Theatre on May 23rd, and are supporting Phantom Planet (the fellas who did the theme tune for The O.C.) at The Roxy on June 15th and 16th. Please feel free to contact the band directly for tickets on 714 470 5170.
