Princess; 2 year old Lab/Pit mix:
Princess was rescued from a home when a volunteer heard that she had a broken back and both of her rear legs were broken as well - the remarkable fact was that her family had left her like that to heal herself - and to also continue feeding the two puppies she had. She was in that condition for weeks, in obvious pain and dragging herself around with her front legs, with no medical attention. Once the volunteer found out about her, Princess was immediately picked up and taken to the vet for treatment. Several months and several surgeries later, Princess is doing remarkably well and gets around almost like normal. She gets along with other dogs and loves everyone.
Shaggy; 2 year old Poodle mix: Brought to us by his families' two children when they could no longer keep Shaggy.
Cassidy has already found his forever home

Our little pup did find a home full of loving kindness, just perfect, after attending so many adoption events!
The walk was so moving, it brought tears to my eyes. I walked a dog named Cindy, who when we took her in was so aggressive. She wanted to attack all dogs, and tried to bite me and one of my volunteers. After two months of rehab at Canine Communications, and a lot of follow up work here at my kennel, she successful walked with hundreds of dogs, comfortably, and quietly. It was such a major accomplishment for both Cindy and I. In the beginning, I had little hope of her ever going out to any adoption event. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to be part of your wonderful event.
